How to Care for Your Lingerie

How to care for your lingerie...

Hand Wash Only

The way you wash your lingerie can play a vital role in its longevity. Machine-washing your lingerie causes delicate materials, like elastane, to lose strength, which is important for the support. Delicate details like lace and embroidery will also last much longer when they are washed gently by hand. Machine washing your bras may also cause the underwire to cut through the casing.

We do not recommend dry cleaning as this may weaken elastane, reducing strength over time.

To avoid damaging your bra, do not use bleach, or products containing bleach, as this will damage the delicate fabrics and could change the colors.

How to Dry Your Bras

After washing, reshape the garment and lay flat to dry. Never hang the bra by the straps or band as this may cause stretching.

Avoid tumble drying as the heat may damage elastane, embroidery, and underwires. Heat exposure may also cause underwires to cut through the casing, potentially damaging both the garment and machine.

To store your bras, never invert a moulded cup, this will lead to misshaping which will make the smooth, rounded shape look bumpy under clothing. Instead, we recommend stacking your bras, this will help maintain the shape of the cups and won’t take up too much room in your wardrobe.
